Do Kwon, the former CEO of Terraform Labs, is facing serious legal trouble, with the possibility of a 130-year maximum prison sentence looming over him. Recently extradited to the United States, Kwon is dealing with a series of allegations, including securities fraud, wire fraud, and money laundering.
These charges are in direct relation to the massive $40 billion cryptocurrency fallout involving Terra, which has caught the attention of prosecutors. They believe Kwon covertly collaborated with Jump to orchestrate the scheme, further complicating his legal battles.
During a court appearance in Manhattan, Kwon pleaded not guilty to the charges laid against him.
