Ripple is strategically planning to use both its native cryptocurrency, XRP, and its newly introduced stablecoin, RLUSD, within its payment network. This was confirmed by Ripple President Monica Long, who aimed to reassure stakeholders about the company's commitment to XRP amidst the introduction of RLUSD.
During Ripple's annual conference, Ripple Swell, Long highlighted the importance of both XRP and RLUSD, which could enhance payment efficiency and stability. RLUSD's inaugural exchange partners were also introduced, indicating Ripple's forward movement in integrating stablecoins within its ecosystem.
This announcement addresses concerns that the introduction of RLUSD might overshadow XRP, reinforcing Ripple's dedication to maintaining a dual-currency strategy to leverage the benefits of both cryptocurrency and stablecoin in its payment systems.
