Hong Kong is preparing to approve more cryptocurrency exchanges this year, an initiative reported by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC).
The SFC has already conducted on-site reviews of 11 applicants, according to CEO Julia Leung. This highlights Hong Kong's efforts to expand its crypto market presence.
Notably, the exchange HKVAX has recently received regulatory approval, becoming the third exchange to achieve this milestone. However, the SFC remains reticent on certain matters.
This significant move reflects Hong Kong's alignment with global trends to accommodate and regulate the growing cryptocurrency trade effectively.
