Marathon Digital Holdings has reported a successful mining operation in September 2024, yielding 705 Bitcoin, marking a 5% increase compared to the previous month. This growth raised the company's total Bitcoin holdings to an impressive 26,842 BTC, underscoring its expanding footprint in the cryptocurrency sector.
The company also succeeded in winning 207 blocks throughout September, reflecting a 6% increase from August. This achievement is indicative of Marathon's robust performance and strategic utilization of its computing power within the competitive Bitcoin mining market.
Under the leadership of CEO Fred Thiel, Marathon is steadfastly progressing towards its ambitious objective of achieving a 50 EH/s hash rate by the end of 2024. Part of this strategy involves upgrading its data centers, including the transition of the Granbury center to immersion cooling technology. This upgrade aims to enhance efficiency while significantly cutting electricity costs, paving the way for sustainable and cost-effective operations.
