Users who suffered from the 2014 Mt. Gox hack are finally getting compensated after a long wait. Currently, 40% of the repayments have been processed successfully. Mt. Gox has transferred an additional $2.5 billion worth of Bitcoins to further reimburse affected customers. The well-known crypto exchange fell victim to multiple hacks between 2011 and 2014, losing substantial amounts of Bitcoin. Despite these setbacks, the ongoing repayments are bringing significant financial gains to many of its former users.
