Bitcoin Miner Revenues Decline by 19% Post-Halving in 2024 📉

Since the Bitcoin halving event in April 2024, miners have experienced a sharp decline in revenues, with block rewards reducing from 6.25 BTC to 3.125 BTC. This change has led to a 19% decline in overall block reward revenue, currently estimated at $37 billion for the next four years.

Despite this significant revenue decline, analysts at VanEck believe there are still substantial opportunities in the mining industry. Efficient operation management and diversifying revenue streams could help Bitcoin miners adapt to these new market conditions. They may need to upgrade equipment and consider expanding into other sectors, such as AI processing, to maintain profitability.
