Bitcoin Mining Hashrate Declines Amidst Low Hashprice
🔻
The Bitcoin mining industry is experiencing a downturn, with the average 7-day hashrate declining from 635 exahashes per second (EH/s) to 579 EH/s in the past month, a 12% drop from its all-time high. The decline aligns with the hashprice, which represents the dollar value of daily mining revenue per petahash per second (PH/s) of computing power, sitting just above its all-time lows. Furthermore, Bitcoin's mining difficulty has slightly decreased by less than a tenth of a percent, with early signs pointing toward another possible downward adjustment. Such an adjustment could provide temporary relief to miners operating near breakeven, especially as the hashprice recently dipped below $50/PH/Day for the first time in over a month.
