Ripple’s CTO, David Schwartz, has recently addressed certain misunderstandings circulating on social media about the XRP Ledger (XRPL). Schwartz’s intervention came in response to an X user who expressed concerns over XRPL being referred to as ‘permissioned’ or ‘trusted’ in certain documents.
Schwartz dismissed these labels, explaining that they do not accurately capture the true nature of XRPL. He emphasized that these terms are misleading and contribute to confusion about how XRPL operates.
The CTO assured that the XRP Ledger remains an open and decentralized platform, contrary to the misconceptions. His clarification aims to reassure the community about the transparent and inclusive nature of XRPL.
