Tether has introduced a new AI development kit called the “Local AI SDK,” which is geared towards enhancing privacy and utilizing peer-to-peer technology. This toolkit functions on a range of devices, from affordable $40 phones to high-end H100 processor systems. Its modular design supports various AI models, including Marian and Llama.
This development kit is aimed at securing data privacy by ensuring that all processing is done locally on the user’s device, without involving third-party servers, thereby enhancing data security.
The “Local AI SDK” will initially undergo testing and will be released as an open-source tool, making it accessible for developers to implement and further innovate upon.
Tether's CEO, Paolo Ardoino, has played a role in bringing this technology forward, signaling Tether's commitment to advancing secure and private tech solutions within the cryptocurrency and tech space.
