Terraform Labs, responsible for the Terra ecosystem and the collapsed UST stablecoin, has announced its final blockchain upgrade. This decision follows a $4.5 billion settlement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Proposal 4818 marks the last upgrade to the Terra network. Future community members will manage the blockchain from this point forward, symbolizing a significant shift in control and direction.
The move comes as part of an effort to transition away from centralized control, ensuring more community-driven governance for the Terra network moving ahead.
