Announced on January 10, Ripple's collaboration underscores its commitment to backing LAFD's efforts amid unprecedented challenges. Eric Van Miltenburg, a senior Ripple executive, emphasized the significance of standing by those who risk everything to save others.

LAFD appreciated Ripple's generosity on social media, recognizing the company's support for LAFD heroes in the face of overwhelming circumstances. The wildfires have affected regions like Pacific Palisades, Pasadena, and Calabasas, leading to over 200,000 evacuations and highlighting the urgent need for emergency assistance.

Ripple's donation is part of the Ripple Impact initiative, furthering its mission to drive global change through its resources. The program has facilitated over $170 million in donations to numerous organizations across 80+ countries.
