Japanese firm Metaplanet has reported an impressive 155% yield in its Bitcoin holdings for the third quarter of 2024, significantly outperforming MicroStrategy's 26% yield. This boost led to the doubling of its Bitcoin holdings to 1,018.17 BTC.
The total value of Metaplanet's Bitcoin holdings is now at $28 million. The firm acquired over 156 BTC in October 2024 alone, with an investment of $10 million. Despite the substantial gains in Bitcoin, the company faced a net loss of $2.1 million in the same quarter.
Interestingly, Metaplanet's stock saw a remarkable surge of 500%, reflecting investor confidence and market optimism in the company's growth strategy and Bitcoin valuation increase.
