An early Ethereum investor has reaped substantial profits after nearly 8.5 years of holding. According to Ember CN, the whale acquired 16,636 ETH from ShapeShift in February 2016 at just $5.23 per token, totaling $87,135.

Now worth over $37.6 million, the whale recently sold 350 ETH at $2,340 each from a new address, highlighting the dramatic increase in Ethereum's value over the years.
