Another $230,000 to DeFi Hack on BNB Chain Affects Bankroll Status 🔒

Bankroll Status, a decentralized finance (DeFi) application operating on the BNB Chain, recently suffered a significant financial loss amounting to $230,000 due to a hacker attack. The cybersecurity firm Cyvers has attributed this attack to the DualPools hacker group, which has a known history of targeting DeFi platforms.

The hack was facilitated through a malicious smart contract that the attackers had deployed about three months prior to the incident. This malicious contract exhibited patterns reminiscent of previous attacks orchestrated by the DualPools group.

The suspicious transaction that resulted in the loss was detected, yet it serves as another reminder of the vulnerabilities and risks inherent in the DeFi ecosystem.
