Asset management firm Volatility Shares has filed an application with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to list a futures exchange-traded fund (ETF) for Solana. This represents a strategic decision by the company, especially in the wake of several asset managers preparing to introduce a spot Solana ETF earlier this year.
The submission of this application raises questions on whether Volatility Shares’ approach could potentially enhance the likelihood of ultimately receiving approval for a spot ETF as well.
