A dormant Bitcoin wallet, inactive for 12 years, recently came to life, moving substantial amounts of Bitcoin. Initially holding 400 BTC purchased for $2,091, it has appreciated significantly, now valued at $35.8 million.
The wallet sent 200 BTC, equivalent to $17.9 million, to Bitstamp, a major cryptocurrency exchange. Additionally, it transferred 351 BTC, valued at $31.5 million, to an entirely new wallet. In total, around 600 BTC were moved, equating to approximately $46 million.
This activity marks significant movement in dormant bitcoin, indicating potential market shifts, investor speculation, or unidentified strategic financial maneuvers.
