The ongoing legal battle between Ripple Labs and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has lasted four years, beginning in December 2020. With the change in U.S. presidency from Joe Biden to Donald Trump, Ripple’s Chief Legal Officer, Stuart Alderoty, is urging for a resolution to the conflict.
The lawsuit revolves around allegations that Ripple’s XRP constitutes an unregistered security. Alderoty maintains that the resolution of this lawsuit could significantly impact the future price of XRP, with predictions suggesting it may soar to $3 per token, drastically altering its current market stance.
