Grayscale's research managing director, Zach Pandl, forecasts a series of "small victories" in the crypto industry by 2025, following the 2024 spot ETF approval and Trump's election. Key breakthroughs include increased institutional adoption, a comprehensive legislative framework by Congress, and Bitcoin potentially becoming a US reserve asset.

In a discussion with DACFP founder Ric Edelman, Pandl mentioned the potential for Bitcoin to hit $500,000 by 2030. Pensions and endowment funds that were previously cautious are now engaging with crypto, with some portfolio managers allocating up to 5% in crypto assets. More institutional approvals are expected within 6-12 months.

Pandl also projects that sovereign wealth funds outside the US will increase their exposure to crypto in the coming months. He is particularly optimistic about Ethereum's institutional adoption, dubbing it "one of the most important open-source software projects." In private equity, DeFi, physical asset tokenization, and AI tokens may draw institutional interest.
