Following the announcement of a pardon from former President Trump, a cryptocurrency fundraiser for Ross Ulbricht, founder of the Silk Road marketplace, has amassed more than $270,000, equivalent to over 2.5 Bitcoin. The funds are aimed at supporting Ulbricht, who is serving a life sentence, as part of an ongoing effort by supporters to seek his release.
