Gary Wang, who wrote the code for the unauthorized transactions of FTX customer funds, will not face prison time. U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan sentenced him to time served and three years of supervised release.
Additionally, Wang is required to forfeit illicitly obtained funds as a part of his sentence. His involvement was crucial to executing the fraudulent activities within FTX.
